Vintage hand painted German porcelain dessert plates featuring a soft pink-yellow rose garland on a background of muted green, pink, yellow and blue-gray. Gold edge. Made in Germany Set of 4 side / dessert plates Diameter: 6.25" Backstamp: "Altenburg China Germany - Handpainted" This mark was used for export, by Unger & Schilde, Roschützer Porzellanfabrik in Altenburg, Germany. Exact date is unknown, most likely 1930s-1940s before the company was nationalized in 1953 and the factory name changed. Vintage condition: NO chips. NO cracks. Utensil markings on plate faces expected with vintage use. As these are hand painted, there will be slight differences in each plate.
