Stunning burned velvet sleeveless maxi dress by April Cornell. Dress is a medium sage or olive colour - see photos. Vintage Y2K. Very bohemian gypsy comfortable and suitable for any party, wedding, afternoon tea party. Cut on the bias so has give. Features a crushed velvet with a burned pattern. Burned velvet -velvet undergoes an etching process called devoré (or burnout) to create the pattern, leaving sheer sections with the etching. The etched areas are a pretty eggplant/purple colour with flower patterns leaving a witchy look - see photos.. Also features a large ruffle at bottom (not puffy). This dress hangs very nicely. Fabric 82% rayon and 18% silk Size small. This dress fits a slim person or a curvy person. There is some give. The dress very slightly curves in at the waist area and out again to accommodate the hips - see measurements for details. Measurements: Length from back collar to bottom hem including fringe 137 cm, armpit to armpit 44 cm laid flat with no stretch, waist area 35 cm laid flat no stretch, mid-way between top of ruffle and armpit area 50 cm (this is below the waist area so you can see how the dress flows outward, ruffle measure 27 cm Let me know if you require any additional measures.
