Vintage Aquascutum men's herringbone wool overcoat size 40 reg (fits large)

Aquascutum London wool overcoat in good vintage condition! Made in Canada, this stunning piece features a heavyweight 90% wool exterior in a black and light grey herringbone pattern. A double breasted buttoned closure adds a touch of class, while the belted waist lends itself to a more streamlined silhouette. Also featuring two waist pockets, a metallic acetate lining, and an interior chest pocket. This is labelled as a size 40 regular but, like many vintage coats, it fits a little larger in the chest than most modern day cuts (I'll provide full measurements below). The exterior is in excellent condition for an older piece, but unfortunately the right waist pocket has both a tear and is ripped along the seam (this will likely require a repair from a professional tailor or a talented amateur). The bottom portion of the lining also shows missing stitches along the seams. Otherwise this is a very high quality garment as one would expect from Aquascutum. Approximate measurements Chest: 50" total (25" pit to pit) Length: 48" Arms (center back to cuff): 33" Just for reference I'm approximately 5'9" and 180 lbs with a 40" chest and the coat is a bit roomy in the chest for my tastes.
