Vintage Arabia Finland 1980 Annual Plate, Scandinavian Ceramic

Arabia Finland manufactured "year plates" based on the Finnish national story, the Kalevala from 1976 to 1999. This 1980 ceramic plate, designed by Raija Uosikkinen, is a stunning work of art. The bold graphic style, rendered in dark glaze tones in so captivating. Heavy ceramic material, very high quality. It has a metal hook on the back for hanging on the wall. Measurements: 7 3/4" square x 1" tall Condition: It has a hairline crack in the lip of the backside, which could be a molding flaw - see photo. No flaws on the front.
