Vintage Art & Crafts style necklace, sterling silver, gold plating, inset garnet

Rather beautiful hammered-finish pendant on a sleek serpentine chain. Stone is windowed in the setting, for light. Pendant is stamped 925. Vintage pre-1970, I think. (This one was in my family treasure chest since forever.) Tried to capture the beauty of the light shining through the cut faceted stone. Could not do it justice with my cel phone camera. :-) This piece is part of a collection of vintage jewelry which has been in storage since the '90s.
