Vintage Art Deco Leaping Stag Black & Gold Etched Deer Rhinestone & Rose Brooch

A beautiful early 20th century brooch. Early plastic, octagonal shape, with an etched and painted border. The centre piece is rectangular, etched with a pair of deer, and is flanked by gold painted roses. There are a number of tiny rhinestones in the border, and at the centre of the roses. Trombone clasp. A very special piece. Vintage, good condition overall. Trombone clasp is in good working order. A few of the rhinestones have dulled. There is a bit of wear to the gold paint along the border, particularly in the lower right corner.
