The images are created by etching pure copper and then gilding it with silver and gold. The engravings were originally created to decorate the armament of the Samurai Warriors. This art form was handed down for over eight hundred years and was made by a famous craftsman inheriting this traditional Hand-made Art. Made in Japan The vase stands 10” tall and is 5.5” wide at its widest and about 3” deep. The top opening is 2.5” and the base is 3.75”. Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or marks.
