Thanks! Would you be able to show me how the strap attaches to the bag? I would like to replace it if possible? Any inside number tag that usually comes with BV bags?

@chemybear more pics for you! It’s a pretty knot you can untie but the balls at the end may not sit through the loops. You may have to cut them off if you want to replace with a chain or chain and leather. Which is a great idea. No number - this is not their leather line. It’s not a large bag as you can see but is perfect for a party or dinner.
