Vintage beetle in resin necklace, large amber colored pendant on flat braid gold tone chain. Real preserved beetle. The scarab or beetle represents perseverance on your path, being true to yourself, and avoiding drama. The ancient Egyptians worshiped the beetle as the earthly manifestation of the Sun at its birth and called it Khepri. It symbolized “coming into existence”. It is associated with the deceased through its capacity for regeneration. The scarab also symbolizes the eternal nature of existence and the continuous cycle of life, death, and rebirth and is also seen as a protector and guide for the deceased on their journey through the afterlife. In good vintage condition but has a few scratches consistent with age and use.
