Vintage Bernie Bee hostess maxi dress paisley studded rhinestone small medium

A showstopping dress from Julie Francis for Bernie Bee N.Y. It features a V-neck collar, back zip, snap cuffs, fitted waist and split pleat at the front skirt. However, the amazing thing about this piece is the combination of attached gold studs and coloured rhinestones that adorn the chest and cuffs. Each one has been meticulously attached rather than glued on! I've seen similar dresses from Bernie Bee in red but never in this unique smoky blue-grey paisley with pops of orange. The fabric is a lightweight drapey polyester, typical of hostess gowns of the period. It isn't a stretchy fabric and holds it's shape well, particularly considering its lightweight texture. No tag size. Fits like a modern small to medium size. Approximate measurements (taken flat, on the half): Pit to pit: 18" Waist: 14" Hip: 21" Length: 54" Excellent vintage condition!
