Vintage Betsy Johnson Bag

Once apon a time the famous designer Betsy Johnson designed couture and very high end pieces that were only sold in upscale boutiques. This is one of those pieces. This is not one of those bags you find in department stores or off price stores. This is also a limited edition bag. This quality bag is made of premium leathers and has super cute details like tapestry handles, one small studded area of brass studs, some fun mini chain details that aren’t that obvious and a cute zipper pull. I’ve only used this bag once in 2008. It’s been properly stored in its own dust cover which is included, with tissue stuffed inside to keep shape. Inside are several slim pockets which are nicely finished. The style is a satchel which a decidedly boho vibe. Worn with all black, it really pops! I’m not sure if the value of this bag will be lost on this platform but I thought I’d list to find out. This was a $700 bag twenty years ago. Betsy Johnson became quite commercial and “young” in her later years and the difference is night and day from her first offerings. Impeccable condition.
