One rather obscure camera maker from the past was the Herbert George Company from Chicago. It was founded in 1945 by Herbert Weil and George Israel but there is not much detailed information out there. In 1961 the company was renamed Imperial Camera Corp. It seems it disappeared in the late 60's.
