A sweet early-20th-century American postcard printed on unfinished, matte paper stock — the kind with that soft, almost linen-like surface that absorbs colour beautifully. Likely from the late 1920s into the early 1930s, based on the typography and the M in shield printer’s mark on the back.
Front:
A cheerful pastoral scene with:
Three bright bluebirds swooping across the sky
A little country lane curving around a pond
A cluster of tulips and spring flowers in warm pinks, yellows, and whites
A greeting in an early Art Deco script:
“These Bluebirds joyfully express
My wishes for your happiness”
Soft colours, gentle shading — very classic pre-linen American illustration.
Back:
Unused and clean.
Divided back with the M-in-circle printer’s logo and “MADE IN USA.”
Printed in brown ink — a common choice for American postcard manufacturers in this era.
No writing, no stamp, no postmark.
Condition:
Very light corner wear
A faint smudge or small age spot near the top edge (normal for unfinished stock)
Otherwise crisp, flat, and well-preserved
Back is clean and bright
