The centerpiece of the design is the Chinese character "Shou" (壽), symbolizing longevity, prosperity, and a long life—appearing once in the center of the bowl and twice more around the outside. These meaningful symbols are surrounded by elegant floral patterns, which are characteristic of blue and white porcelain pieces from The Bombay Company. The Chinoiserie style—particularly in blue and white—was a hallmark of Bombay Company collections from this era. This bowl is good quality and made of heavy glazed porcelain.
