This attractive vintage piece is a large blue and white porcelain tray/ platter from The Bombay Company, featuring a traditional Chinoiserie design with intricate pattern in the centre. The centerpiece of the design is the Chinese character "Shou" (壽), symbolizing longevity, prosperity, and a long life—appearing in the center of the scalloped edged platter/tray. This meaningful symbol is surrounded by elegant floral patterns, which are characteristic of blue and white porcelain pieces from The Bombay Company. The Chinoiserie style—particularly in blue and white—was a hallmark of Bombay Company collections from this era. This tray/ platter is good quality and made of heavy glazed porcelain. It comes with its original wooden stand in a rich mahogany color, completing its timeless and classic presentation.
