Vintage Brass African Woman Statue, Tribal Figure with Water Vase on Head, Styl

This is a cast brass figure of an African tribal woman carrying a water vase on her head and reading a book. Her dress has a textured, "antiqued" finish. Her feet are molded to the base, the figure is not attached to the base by screws. Her face is smooth and featureless and the entire work is done in a modernist style. She is leaning as she walks and it gives the piece a fluid, dynamic look. Measurements: 9" tall x 2 1/2" wide at the base. Condition: Very good vintage condition with no flaws or damage. No commercial markings or signatures.
