The natural shall is inlaid into the metal and is hand finished to suit the shape of the finished piece. Perfect as a little trinket or jewelry box, or your could make it into a nice showcase box for a single watch (add a liner and / or watch cushion). Would also make a lovely storage box around the house, home office, or on your vanity. Overall in nice condition with natural imperfection to the shell, and some small patina markings to the brass (and a whitish scuff to the lid edge). The bottom metal is fairly thin but with a nice pressed-in squared pattern, the lid closes nice and snug. Size: ca 2 5/8" diameter (6.7 cm), it is ca 2 5/8" (6.7 cm) tall including the little knob on the lid
