Vintage Brass Pegasus, Mythical Horse with Wings, Solid Brass Gold Home decor

This solid brass figurine of the mythical Pegasus shows the winged horse rearing back on its hind legs with front hooves raised and wings outstretched almost as though preparing for flight. From Greek mythology, the Pegasus is the immortal winged horse that sprang from the blood of the slain Medusa and was tamed by Bellerophon with the help of a bridle given him by Athena. As the flying horse of the Muses, it is a symbol of highflying imagination. It is in good vintage condition with no flaws to note. There is some subtle patina but piece can certainly be polished back to a high shine. Made by The Leonard Silver Mfg. Co. This figurine was part of the Solid Brass Collection and made in Korea. By all accounts, the Leonard Silver Mfg. Co. went into business in the late 1960s and was bought by another company in the late 1970s. For that reason, I'm estimating this figurine to be from the 1970s. Approximate Measurements 6 3/4 inches tall 7 inches wide (wingspan) 8 1/8 inches long (front hoof to tip of tail)
