Vintage Butler Convertible Dangling Earrings

These vintage earrings by Butler are made of a gold tone metal. They feature black oval stones with white rhinestone knockers. The earrings are pierced and have posts on the back, below which the earrings are stamped Butler. Now, I don't know if this is a real thing or not, but I believe these earrings are convertible and can be worn gold side out. Why not, right??
