Vintage CAPRI Pea Pod Pin Brooch - Filled w/ Red Coral

The pin was made by CAPRI circa 1950s. It's already looking like a very unique pea pod because it's textured goldtone and instead of peas inside, this pod is lined with little branches of genuine red coral. They're fastened in there with a clear adhesive that keeps them in place. Pin measures 1/2 inch wide by 2 3/4 inches long. Like a cherry on the cake, this Capri pod is topped with a genuine cultured white pearl. Back has secure rollover clasp and the CAPRI hallmark tucked inside. The history of Capri jewelry brand began seventy years ago in the very heart of New York, on Fifth Avenue. Incorporated in 1952, Capri Jewelry Co ceased to exist in 1977. According to sources, the owner of the company was Sol Smith. For its 25-year-old history, the company has produced limited editions collections of very high quality and unique design.
