Vintage Canadian Red Cross Blood Donor Pin

This vintage pin from the Canadian Red Cross is made of a gold/brass tone metal and has a round screw-on backing. The pin is round, and the front has a blue enamel border and a red enamel cross in the center. It says, "CANADIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY, BLOOD DONOR SERVICE". The back of the pin is marked "C. Lamond fils ltee" which seems to be the French version of "C. Lamond & Sons LTD". The pin has wear throughout but is most visible as tone change/darkening on the back of the pin and the round backing. I've seen very similar versions of this pin listed as being from WWII, but I don't believe that's the case here. This pin was among many pieces I inherited from my late grandmother, and I'm not sure if she found it, gave enough blood to earn it, or if it was passed down.
