Vintage Carved Mother of Pearl Star Brooch MOP Shell Mid Century Jewelry Pin

Beautiful vintage star brooch carved from lustrous mother of pearl. The five pointed star is surrounded by lace like details. These types of brooches were a popular souvenir from Bethlehem in the middle of the last century. This one is not marked Bethlehem so I'm not sure if it's from there but it's very similar to other mother of pearl star brooches that are from there. There is a small maker's mark stamped into the backing of the pin. Excellent vintage condition. It is 1 3/4" across.
