Vintage Chinese Carved Jade Like Stone Foo Dog Figure

A figural Foo-Dog creature with an intriguing design, and gold tone symbols. It is carved from stone? that looks like nephrite jade. It is REALLY heavy! I am not a gemologist but it has similar qualities to some jade bracelets that I have. I have not certified the material There are some rough spots that do not impact the overall appearance of the carving. Approx 7 1/4" tall by 3" wide and 7 3/4" long. As this is a quality piece and quite an investment I will gladly answer any questions and provide additional photos.
