Vintage Chippy Paint Wood Display Box

The color is yellowish green. There is a gold painted diamond pattern on the front with a flower in the center. There are 2 inner hinges. I am not sure what this may have been used for, but it is cute. Cute display for an entry way for keys, etc.. See photos for rough vintage condition. It has a slight musty smell, but I have left in the sun for several days, and it seems to help.
