Vintage Christmas Elf doll

My mother has owned this handmade Christmas elf since the 50s - I’m not sure if my grandmother made him but apparently he creeps my kids out….so I guess he’s being put up for adoption to go to a home where mischievous elves from the 50s are welcome! He’s in pretty great condition for his age. I can only hope to be in his shape when I’m 70 or 75. He has one repaired foot and I need to do a bit of ass surgery, (I will run a handstitch across to strengthen him up) but I can see that he’s stuffed and lined with vintage material, which I think is actually pretty cool. His name is …… Elfie and would’ve been made in Newfoundland, Canada. True story! Don’t buy him unless you intend to love him like I have all these years! ♥️ 🎄🎄elf history update🎄🎄 My boy walked by and noticed the elf on screen while I was updating my merchandise and he said “You’re selling “Squiddle Stockings”??? And I said, “Who???” And he said “Squiddle Stockings! The elf! Mom! You named him…don’t you remember?” And the answer is no, I don’t remember naming this elf Squiddle Stockings because I always called him elfie…..maybe I was dipping into the eggnog when I came up with that one….but anyway, I’m being told his name is Squiddle Stockings…..so do with this information what you will, LOL I’m not sure I even want to sell Squiddle Stockings anymore after that exchange….I’ll leave him for now…but interested parties better act fast! 🤣
