willowxander @chance_bazaar has this sweater ever been exposed to mothballs? And does it have any fragrances or odours?

chance_bazaar @willowxander Hello there! for the time I've owned it, it's never been exposed to mothballs (as far as prior to my owning of this sweater, I have no idea) As for smell and odors, I've only ever handwashed this sweater. I have not worn it since last year, and has been stored in a large closet that gets used often (so, it shouldn't have a stuffed closet smell) I guess it all depends on nose sensitivity. chance_bazaar @willowxander By all accounts it seems like it (there are no tags) I've done a burn test on a strand of loose fibers and it burns like wool. Also the sweater is heavy, which is in line with a 100% wool sweater.

emilybojda With it being 100% wool, can you tell me if this is itchy? I have some wool sweaters that aren’t itchy at all, and some that I can barely stand to wear so I have to get rid of!!

chance_bazaar @emilybojda to be honest it's a little itchy as most wool are. But I did condition it and it became softer. But still a bit of an itch. I always wear sweaters with a t-shirt under. Funny enough it keeps me cool whilst warm and it prevents some of the itch.

emilybojda @chance_bazaar thank you so much for getting back to me! It’s very appreciated, conditioning the material does work well sometimes for the itchiness! Love wool, warm as heck but the itch sometimes drives me a bit nuts. 😅

chance_bazaar @emilybojda I know exactly what you mean. it's hard to guage people's itch threshold. I personally can't stand itchy but I was able to handle this sweater. I simply found it too warm haha
