Vintage Clarice Cliff Royal Staffordshire Barbara Large Oval Serving Platter 50s

Large oval serving platter by Royal Staffordshire, England, featuring the gorgeous “Barbara” pattern by Clarice Cliff. Dating from the 1950s, pieces in this pattern appear to be quite hard to find. Unique basket weave design in blue and creamy white with colourful leaves peeking out is said to be inspired by the artist's travels and interest in Native American baskets. This rare find is a charming representation of Clarice Cliff’s bold and striking style. Great vintage/used condition especially when you consider that it is about 70 year old. No chips or cracks. Minor surface wear. A couple of light scuffs or scrapes and smudges near edges. Some gray smudges on bottom. See photos. Measures about 12 1/4" x 8 1/4". Have a look through my closet.
