Vintage Coach NYC Small Shoulder Bag 9530 Red Larger Variation

Hard to find vintage New York City Coach red leather larger variation of the #9530 Small Shoulder Bag. It appears that this model in red was first found in the 1981 Coach catalogue. The Small Shoulder Bag has one main compartment with an unlined leather interior, open front pocket under the front flap, and interior zipper pocket. The bag has solid brass hardware and turnlock, and its original one-sided Coach Leatherware hangtag. The NYC creed indicates this bag was made in the original Coach factory in New York City. This particular bag is monogrammed with "JEC". The bag is in well-loved, vintage condition, but is structurally sound with solid stitching and no tears. The leather is soft and darkened, possibly due to over-conditioning at some point in this bag's life. There are scratches and some spots on the exterior leather, and the trim has scuffing, especially on the corners. The interior sueded leather has darkened areas and ink stains.
