Vintage Collingwood Red drip pottery Whale ashtray or sponge holder, adorable!

What a fun little find Vintage ceramic Whale, created with the Red drip design. unmarked, but looks like a lot of works that came out of Collingwood and area back in the 50s and 60s. This was made back in the day to be an ashtray, but hopefully you do not smoke and you would use this as a sponge holder instead. note that there is a repair on the lip. I took a close picture of it. looks like glaze has either cracked off or someone painted it. Price reflects this boo boo. Enjoy this bright little whale!
