Vintage Colour Wash Sari

I’ve always had a love of colourful global clothing and the sari is at the top of my fav list. When I lived in Little India Toronto I had many custom pieces made for me. My son who travelled often to India would always bring me back one or two saris found in markets from Mumbai to Madhuban. This sari is one such piece. A little left of traditional colouring it lends itself well to a wide latitude of styling possibilities both eastern and western. A striking swill of teal, yellow and black the fibre content is unknown as it was a market purchase in the Giridih district. EVC with tiny areas of wear commiserate with age. Well kept. No rips or tears. 84” x 34”. Washes up well in cold water on delicate. Air dry. Shown styled with yellow silk joggers, sheer gauze blouse and twisted on a straw Fedora all available separately in the closet.
