Vintage Corde Purse with Gold and Silver Accents

Elegant vintage brown "corde" purse with a silver chain strap and a decorative clasp. Corde purses, popular in the 1940s and 1950s, are made using rows of gimp stitched onto a fabric background, creating unique patterns. This particular purse features a swirl design and a shield-shaped clasp with a two-tone emblem. The interior appears to be lined with a brown satin fabric. Purses like this were often made by companies such as Gold Seal and sold in both the U.S. and Canada.
