Vintage Costume Jewelry Set - Brooch Pin and Necklace

Pin is gold tone metal, with a large purple centre glass center stone, green enamel like ovals and rhinestones. Pin is absolutely straight, 2 and 1/4 inches square. Suspect this brooch has never been worn. Pristine condition. No hallmarks. Coordinating necklace. Gold tone with green faceted glass accents. I find this set confusing. The pin is an over the top Maltese cross, perfect for an 80’s Madonna or punk rock look. But the necklace is conservative and understated. Perhaps layer a whole bunch of chains to go with the cross? Be daring.
