Vintage Crewel, Please God Deliver Me, Framed Textile Picture, Boy Praying, Bed

Completed piece - not a kit! This is a very sweet handmade crewel picture made from a 1970's Sunset Stitchery kit entitled "Please God Deliver Me". It features a little boy kneeling at his bed to say his prayers and he is joined by a cute puppy dog. The detail and texture in the patchwork quilt is lovely! The window above shows the crescent moon. The verse is as follows: "Please God, deliver me from ghouls and ghosts and four legged beasts, and things that go bump in the night. Background is cream linen material. The stitching is very well done and there is a lot of texture and variety in the needlework. It is finished and professionally framed in a brown wood frame with gold accent and harvest gold velvet inset. Wired for hanging. No glass. Initials of maker are EMJ in the corner. Cute retro baby gift or nursery decor! Measurements: 14" wide x 16" tall Condition: There is a faint oxidized stain near the top - see photo. There are some areas of the velvet trim that have been crushed. There are several dents, scratches, and nicks in the frame, see photo.
