vintage damascene butterfly brooch so pretty and delicate body is gold tone with delicate legs and little antennae applied to the body are the black wings with the damascene designs which is the art of applying gold tone wires to create the scene or design in this case the butterfly's wings are adorned with flowers and scrolls and even birds pin is a c clasp closure measures approx 1.25" tall x approx 1.25" wide this item is vintage, and is in excellent condition ~ there are some surface scratches and light discolouration on the back of the wings and some slight wear on the tips of the black wings
