Vintage Enesco Praying Girls Salt and Pepper Shakers Set Turn of the Century JAPAN 1950s Condition: very good for their age, some wear spots, no chips, cracks or crazing. some fading on the words. There is very old yellowed masking tape on the bottom of each girl, which I DID NOT attempt to remove. These sweet vintage ceramic salt and pepper shakers are praying girls from the turn of the century, each with a kitchen prayer printed on her white apron. The bottom is marked "G" for the maker, and each still has the stopper. Measurements are 4.25 inches tall with a base width of 2.75 inches. They would be very pretty to add to a collection of vintage shakers in a cottage core or shabby chic kitchen. The prayer on the blue girl: May the meals that I prepare be seasoned from above with Thy blessing and Thy grace, but most of all Thy love. Prayer on the pink girl: Bless my little kitchen, Lord, I love its every nook, and bless me as I do my work, wash pots and pans and cook.
