Vintage Floral Mother of Pearl Earrings

These vintage earrings are made of a silver tone metal and have clip on backings. Each earring is shaped like a dangling tear drop with a silver outline and a black background, with a flower made of mother of pearl in the forefront. Because of how it's encased, I'm not able to determine exactly what the black material is, but I suspect jet or onyx based on the appearance under a loupe. The backs of the earrings have some tarnish and are stamped, but difficult to read. To me, it looks like "Alpaca", "Mexico", and maybe "850"? The silver tone metal doesn't feel like 925, but feels like more than "generic, random silver tone metal". It's possible the 850 represents 85% silver, but I can't confirm that. The dangling pieces have a tendency to hang facing outwards but could be straightened, and there are no issues that would affect wearability.
