Vintage Framed Needlepoint Picture, sailboats, nautical ships 20 x 23.5 inch

This beautiful vintage hand stitched needlepoint depicts an ocean scene with a variety of boats. Done in a neutral palette of blues, browns and greens. The frame has had the addition of a stripe of burnt orange, which nicely compliments the colors in the piece. The original owner of this needlepoint was an artist and I believe he framed it himself and added the paint to the frame. It may have come from Germany originally. I cannot find another example of this pattern. Framed measurement is 20 x 23.5 inch. The frame is made of wood and there is a wire attached for hanging. I try to depict colors are accurately as possible, but they may appear differently depending on your device or screen settings.
