pepin_diana Hi Stella. I got this cape from my mother and never used it so I was unaware of a great feature. You asked about a front closure. I looked for some kind of fixture like a hook and eye which there is not. But, I just found openings in the lining of both sides that allow the sides to crisscross and sit in place. Who knew! What a lovely idea. I will post pics tomorrow. Thanks. Diana
