Whimsical handmade Gentlefolk figurine created by Canadian artist Darren Perkins for Windridge House of Surrey, British Columbia. Known for their imaginative, earthy designs, Gentlefolk figures are beloved collectibles today.
This figure features a bearded gnome with a tall textured hat, standing beside a tree stump and scattered mushrooms. The stump is designed as an incense cone burner, perfect for burning cones and collecting ash neatly, but it can also serve as a small catch-all holder.
Size: approx. 7" H x 6" L x 4" W (17.8 cm H x 15.2 cm L x 10.2 cm W)
Era: Likely late 1980s to early 1990s
Markings: Impressed maker’s mark on the base. Some early Gentlefolk pieces were marked this way before Windridge House adopted full ink stamps.
Condition:
Overall good vintage condition with minor expected wear. There is a small chip at the tip of the gnome’s hat (see close-up photo), it is not very noticeable unless you are looking for it. The tree stump incense holder has been cleaned, but some minor ash residue may remain from previous use. No cracks, repairs, or other major damage noted. Displays beautifully.
