Vintage | Genuine Eel Skin Leather Clutch

Dark brown eel skin clutch, circa 1980s, features four compartments comprising two zippered and two slide-ins compartments with a gold-toned magnetic enclosure. Perfect for special events and night outs. Width 12" Height 7.75" Flaw: 1 zipper pull broken, can still be opened. A little leather flaking on left side of inner flap. Otherwise in excellent vintage condition. Did you know? Eel skin is one of the best exotic leathers since its final product is stretchy, adding to its durability. Eel skin leather is 150 times stronger than typical cowhide leathers of the same thickness. Common practice by manufacturers is to adhere or back their eel panels to cloth and/or cow or pig skin.
