Vintage German Silver Plated Lidded Sugar Bowl Trinket Jar

Lovely little silver plated lidded dish. Stamped “HKE”, Made in Germany by Hans Knabel Esslingen, circa the 1950’s. The shell silver design is very reminiscent of the iconic WMF designs. This piece was likely originally a sugar bowl, although it could have a variety of uses such as a trinket jar, jewellery dish, spice jar, etc! The fine layer of silver is tarnished in various areas with the brass base appearing This jar is in good condition; no chips, cracks, repairs, etc. however there is patina shown expected with age Measurements: Vintage items often have small manufacturing flaws and/or signs of wear; these do not affect the integrity of the item but is something to be mindful of when purchasing.
