Soon the husband-and-wife team expanded their brick-and-mortar business by launching UndercoverWear. Capitalizing on the popularity of home shopping parties like Tupperware and Avon, UndercoverWear was the first to feature lingerie, pajamas and bedroom novelties. Now risqué items could be purchased in the privacy of your own home or the home of a friend. Thanks to the titillating concept, UndercoverWear became part of the zeitgeist of the early ’80s and the founders were featured on Phil Donahue, Oprah Winfrey, and profiled on the television show “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous” with Robin Leach. In 1985, UndercoverWear partnered with pin-up artist, Olivia De Berardinis to create original paintings featuring the company’s Lingerie Collections. Over 50 paintings were created and featured in the company’s catalog during those years. In 2014 UndercoverWear sold its Home Party Division. It was relaunched in 2018.
