Back in the 70s, there were one-style-fits all jeans - until then, jeans were not fitted for women. They were styled for a man’s body; women would buy them, and then get it altered. But a short lived partnership between Gloria Vanderbilt and Mohan Murjani would create a revolutionary, high-waisted jean that would fit women just “like a skin on a grape” and transform the world of women’s fashion for ever.
This pair of baby blue 100% cotton jeans are from this short lived era and successful partnership, dating between 1976-1979. Featuring a pedal pusher style, Gloria’s signature swan logo and her name on the back right pocket, these pants are a piece of fashion history that are a must have for any vintage closet.
