Vintage Gor-Ray pleated mini skirt size XS

Pleated plaid schoolgirl skirt in blue and yellow. It's vintage from the late 70s but in beautiful condition considering its age. It was sold at Ogilvy's,a high-end store in Montreal. The Gor-Ray Company was established in the 1920s as a manufacturer of top-quality skirts and trousers, specialising in pleated, classically tailored skirts. Originally C. Stillitz & Co., the name was changed to Gor-Ray Ltd in the early 1930s following the success of its leading product, a gored, sunray-pleated skirt. The founder of the company designed skits that would keep their pleats permanently instead of maintaining them by steaming. It's fully lined and made of a viscose trevira blend. The fabric blend and the quality of the craftmaship mean this skirt hardly looks old and will last many years to come. It features a side zip closure with a button. No size tags but the flat measurements in inches below suggest it is a size XS. Advertisements added for interest only.
