Lovely soap stone carved art piece depicting ice fishing signed DIMU (Dietrich Muckenheim) Dieter contracted tuberculosis and was hospitalized in Hamilton. While in the hospital he befriended some Inuit men, who wiled away the time recovering from TB by carving soapstone. Dieter took an interest in this uniquely Canadian art form.
