Heavy and quality feeling These IKEA candlesticks -KÄGLA- were designed by the Swedish Carl Öjerstam, who founded Carl Design in 1995 and started designing for IKEA in 1996. This is one of the early designs, made of satined steel, which looks like brushed aluminum. The candlesticks are versatile with a layered candle cup so you can use with votive tea light candles or with high candlesticks. And the shape is absolutely beautiful, modern and sleek in style. While they are necessarily outside the midcentury era, they certainly do the midcentury décor, and they would enhance any modern midcentury home, as well as a modern rustic or minimalist interior.
