*International Boutique trademark in use from December 4, 1974, filed in 1975, and inactivated in 2006; was owned by Algo Industries of Montreal, a then maker of moderate to higher-priced ladies' dresses under the Algo and Lori Ann labels. (Note that companies often hold onto their trademarks long after a label falls into disuse.)
- In the 1970s they expanded to sportswear, and in the mid-1970s they moved some manufacturing from Canada to Hong Kong.
- The label's font: these "computer" fonts (Westminster, MICR E-13B, Data 70, etc) first arose in the 1960s and gained prominence in the 1970s.
- Colored care symbols in Celsius date this to post-December 1979; the "claw" in the tub that represents hand-washing is a weird composite of the 1970 Canadian hand-washing symbol (horizontal normal-looking hand in tub) and the 1976–1979 British symbol (vertical spiky hand in tub).
