This is an absolutely wonderful pair of vintage Inuit cloth dolls. Made for the tourist trade by the indigenous people of Arctic Canada. These incredible pieces of folk art shows lovely floral dress complete with hood and authentic fur trim (unsure of type) for the girl, and a traditional parka for the boy. Both outfits have a felt lining and felt mukluks. They are completely soft and have no structure to stand on their own (would need a stand). Not a play item intended for young children - high quality display pieces. Circa 1970's. Listing is for both dolls.
Measurements: 10 1/2" tall x 10" wide (armspan).
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no flaws or damage.
These dolls have no tags. However other dolls made in this manner from the same collection had tags sewn in that stated "handmade by Canadian Eskimos".
