Amazing Jean Varon designer dress. A bit more about the label... John Bates who designed under the name Jean Varon was one of the most innovative and influential young British designers of the 1960s and 1970s. He created clothing for swinging Londoners and even designed the famous catsuit for Emma Peel in The Avengers series. This dress features a wonderful crochet and soutache embellished waistline, full skirt and angel, flutter sleeves. The piece is divine! There was one repair done on the front of one of the sleeves.
