Vintage | Jan Sylwester Drost - asteroid pattern | teardrop shape bowl

The late Jan Sylwester Drost was a Polish glass designer who worked for Zabkowice Glass works for about 40 years. He pioneered some new techniques with pressed glass. Some of his works show up at the art auctions. This bowl is part of his asteroid line in clear. With asteroid pieces the bottoms are textured giving the serving pieces an interesting look on the inside. I think this line came out mid 70s but it was fairly popular and produced for awhile. I suspect this design might still be produced in Poland.
